Northern Beaches Home Organisation provides NDIS decluttering services and home organising for participants across Sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore. A professional organiser works with you in your home to declutter, sort and set up simple storage systems, including support for hoarding, chronic disorganisation, ADHD and autism. We operate as an unregistered NDIS provider for self-managed and plan-managed participants, can supply an NDIS Worker Screening clearance on request, and are happy to work with your support coordinator, plan manager or OT.

Does the NDIS cover decluttering?

It can. Decluttering and home organising may be funded through an NDIS plan, most often where clutter creates safety risks, limits independence or affects wellbeing. Depending on your plan, the support may sit under:

  • Assistance with Daily Life (Core Supports): hands-on help with household tasks, such as decluttering, sorting and organising your home.
  • Improved Daily Living (Capacity Building): building the skills, routines and systems that help you stay organised more independently.

Every plan is different, and funding decisions rest with the NDIS, so confirm with your planner, plan manager or support coordinator before you book. It helps to link the support to a goal in your plan, such as a safer home, less stress, or managing daily tasks more independently. NDIS hoarding support and chronic disorganisation

Hoarding and chronic disorganisation need patience, not pressure. We work at your pace, with every decision yours, and we never clear a home behind someone's back. Sessions focus first on safety, like clear pathways and a usable kitchen and bathroom, then gradually on the rest of the home, with regular visits where that helps progress stick.

We're professional organisers, not a squalor or biohazard cleaning company. If a home needs specialist cleaning first, we'll tell you honestly and can work alongside the cleaner, your support coordinator or your OT.

ADHD, autism and neurodivergent-friendly home organising

Standard organising advice often fails ADHD and autistic participants because it relies on hidden storage, many steps and memory. We set things up the other way round:

  • Open or clear storage, so you can see what you own
  • As few steps as possible to put something away
  • Clear, simple labels, with pictures if they help
  • Short routines that fit a real day, not an ideal one
  • Calm, predictable sessions, with sensory needs taken into account

What an NDIS decluttering session includes

  • Room-by-room decluttering at a comfortable pace
  • Sorting into keep, donate, recycle and dispose, with donations taken away
  • Simple, accessible storage and labelling systems
  • Clear, safe pathways to reduce trip and fall hazards
  • Kitchen, pantry, wardrobe, bedroom and garage organisation (see the full services list)
  • Practical routines so the home stays manageable after we leave

Working with support coordinators, plan managers and OTs

We make the paperwork side easy: written quotes before work starts, invoices that suit your plan manager, and an NDIS Worker Screening clearance on request. With your permission, we'll keep your support coordinator or occupational therapist in the loop and line sessions up with the goals in your plan.

Areas we serve

We support NDIS participants right across the Northern Beaches, including Manly, Freshwater, Dee Why, Brookvale, Narrabeen, Collaroy, Mona Vale, Newport and Avalon Beach up to Palm Beach, and the Lower and Upper North Shore, including Mosman, Neutral Bay, North Sydney, Lane Cove, Chatswood, Lindfield, Gordon, Pymble, St Ives and Wahroonga.
