Organising for the way North Shore homes are built

North Shore homes rarely fit a one-size storage plan. Apartments and terraces around North Sydney, Kirribilli, Neutral Bay and Crows Nest often have one hall cupboard and not much else, so every centimetre has to earn its place. Federation and inter-war houses in Mosman, Willoughby and Castlecrag have character but awkward, shallow storage. And larger family homes, common from Lindfield and Killara up to Pymble, St Ives and Wahroonga, collect years of school projects, sports gear and "we'll deal with it later" boxes in the garage and spare room.

We don't arrive with a trunk full of containers. We start by editing what you own, because the fastest way to more storage is less stuff, and then design simple systems that suit the space and the people living in it. You make the final call on every item.

What we organise on the North Shore

Downsizing from a North Shore family home

Moving from a long-held family house to an apartment is one of the most common reasons North Shore clients call. It is emotional, and it is usually on a deadline. We work room by room so the decisions stay manageable, help you choose what comes to the new place based on its actual floor plan, and arrange for what's leaving to be donated, sold, recycled or collected. Family members elsewhere can join the discovery call, so everyone agrees on the plan before a single box is packed.

Where things go: donations, recycling and council clean-ups

Decluttering only works if the items actually leave. As we sort, everything goes into keep, donate, recycle or dispose, and we take donations to local charities and recyclers so they're out of your home the same day. Each North Shore council runs its own household clean-up, and the rules differ: Ku-ring-gai and Lane Cove each allow four booked clean-ups a year, Willoughby one booked and three scheduled, North Sydney takes bookings for bulky-waste pick-ups, and Mosman runs scheduled clean-ups plus pre-paid collections. Check your council's current limits. We're happy to time a session around your collection date so bulky leftovers go out with it. For paint, batteries, e-waste and chemicals, see our donation and recycling guide.

How a North Shore project works

  1. Free discovery call. About 15 to 20 minutes on the phone about the rooms, how your household works and what you'd like to change.
  2. Written quote. Based on your home, with travel included and no surprise extras.
  3. Hands-on sessions. Usually around five hours on a weekday, timed around school pick-ups and work.
  4. Systems that last. Simple zones and labels you can keep up without us.

No. We are based in Newport on the Northern Beaches, and travel to the North Shore suburbs we list is included in your quote. There is no separate call-out fee.

Every home is different, so we quote each project after a free, no-obligation discovery call rather than publishing fixed prices. Quotes are in Australian dollars and include GST. Travel in our area is included; storage products and skip bins are extra only if you need them.

Yes. Many North Shore homes are apartments, terraces and semis with limited built-in storage. We work with the space you have: editing what you own first, then using vertical storage, the backs of doors and under-bed space so a small home works harder.

Yes. Downsizing from a long-held family home to an apartment or smaller house is common on the North Shore. We help you decide what comes with you, coordinate donations and disposal, and sort before the move so you only pack what you are keeping. See our downsizing and move preparation service.

Yes. Each North Shore council runs its own clean-up with different rules: some take bookings and some collect on scheduled dates, so check with your council. We can time a decluttering session around your booking so leftover bulky items leave with the collection, and we take donations to local charities and recyclers as we go.

Yes. We operate as an unregistered NDIS provider and support self-managed and plan-managed participants across the North Shore suburbs we cover. NDIS Worker Screening clearance is available on request. Funding is never guaranteed, so confirm with your planner or support coordinator.
